Description

1950's Royal Canadian Navy officer's service dress jacket made of green khaki tropical weight wool. The jacket is single breasted with lapels. On either shoulder is a black shoulder board denoting a lieutenant-commander and a bullion wire "CANADA" patch. It is closed with three brass RCN buttons (2.5 cm diameter). On the left breast is four ribbons; 1939-45 Star, Atlantic Star, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, and War Medal 1939-45. On either side of the breast and hips are patch pockets closed with a RCN brass button (1.2 cm diameter) and a scalloped flap. Inside is partially lined with an olive green satin (likely polyester or rayon). A hanging loop is sewn to the top neck collar.
