1916-1919 Canadian Expeditionary Force service dress cap w/Borden's Armoured Car badge made of khaki tan serge wool. The crown is circular and is attached to a body made with four-piece construction. The cap band is unstiffened. A brass cap badge (4.5 cm x 4.5 cm)is pinned to the centre front, depicting a maple leaf behind a machine gun tank. A King's crown surmounts the tank. The ear flaps are folded onto the cap band and are buttoned together with a single general list Canada button (1.5 cm diameter). The peak is stiffened.
The lining is made of grey serge wool. The crown is quilted in a zig-zag pattern. The lugs of the cap badge are left uncovered. The peak is lined with a drab olive green material.Use

Borden's Armoured Battery, later known as Borden’s Motor Machine Gun Battery, were a Canadian Expeditionary Force unit formed in 1914 and mobilized in Montreal. They left for England on May 17, 1915 aboard the Carapathia and later on May 28, 1915. The unit disbanded on November 15, 1920.Made/Created
