1916-1918 Royal Flying Corps/Royal Naval Air Service/Royal Air Force Aldis Gunsight box.
Rectangular, black-painted hardwood (pine?). Glued-jointed sides, ends, top, bottom, inner supports. Hinged at back closes at front edges with curved brass hooks and screws.
