Charge write-up against Lieut. Albert Douglas Anderson RMR for presenting cheques on three separate occasions, August 5, 9, and 10 of 1940, valued at a total of 22 British Pounds. The charge notes that Lieut. A.D. Anderson "... presented cheques to the total value of 22 pounds, which were subsequently dishonoured, when there was no reasonable ground for supposing that they would be honoured on presentation." It is not entirely clear what is indicated by this language, but it suggests that Lieut. A.D. Anderson had forged cheques in attempt to acquire money he had not earned. The charge was recorded in Epsom Downs, Surrey in August, 1940.Lexicon
