Description

Framed portrait, three medals and a cap badge, shoulder titles and collar brasses belonging to Pte. Huet, WW1. In a large frame, there is a cut out at the top with a RMR cap badge, two c/14 collar brasses and an RMR CANADA shoulder title. Underneath, a post-WW1 portrait of Joseph Raoul Huet in military or police uniform (unclear which). Under the portrait, three medals rest on a red background; the 1914-1919 War Medal and the 1914-1919 Victory Medal, received for his service during WW1. The last is a Long Service Medal from the RCMP, where Huet worked in his civilian life after the war. A typed information card rests on the front of the frame, briefly explaining the life of Pte. Huet and his later career with the RCMP.
