A portrait photo of RSM Wilfred Farnell in uniform. He served as RSM from March 16, 1918, to October 1, 1918. He was blinded during his military service at the Battle of Cambrai when 7 pieces of shrapnel struck him in the back of the head with two going through an eye. He was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal.
