The occasion was the annual Remembrance Day parade and service at the City of Westmount Cenotaph November 7, 1948. The two memorial walls flanking the main monument bearing the names of the Fallen in World War II (1939-1945) which had been unveiled by the Governor-General Lord Alexander the previous year are clearly visible in this photograph.
