Glass plate negative photo of the interior of the Quillcote house, author Kate Douglas Wiggin's residence in Hollis, Maine. The back side of the negative has a section of a postcard pasted on. The photographer Bradbury was likely sizing these photos to create postcards. It looks as though this plate is actually a photograph of a photograph. This image of "The Front Hall" has appeared on postcards. Many of these postcards of Quillcote are still widely available today and sold by antique ephemera dealers.Made/Created
