Glass lantern slide photo of a young boy hanging on a fence. "Harry Burnham" is written on a "Saco Camera Club" slide label, suggesting that this photo was taken in Saco, Maine. This is the only glass lantern slide in the Charles E. Moody collection that has a "Saco Camera Club" label.
The subject of this photo is likely Harry J. Burnham (1909-1978), son of James L. and Virgie Hill Burnham of Saco, Maine. Census records show that Harry Burnham was the only member in his family born in New Jersey, but lived his childhood in Saco, Maine. His father, James L. Burnham, was working in Passaic, New Jersey as a "newspaper reporter" for a brief period before returning to Saco. It is likely Charles E. Moody knew the family through their mutual New Jersey-Saco connection.
