Glass plate negative photo of the interior of the Quillcote house, author Kate Douglas Wiggin's residence in Hollis, Maine. The back side of the negative has a section of a postcard pasted on. "Sept. 1, 1914" is written in pencil on the postcard section. The photographer Bradbury was likely sizing these photos to create postcards. It is not clear whether the date written in pencil is the date the photo was taken or when the photo was processed. This image of "The Study" has appeared on postcards. Many of these postcards of Quillcote are still widely available today and sold by antique ephemera dealers.Made/Created
