Small quilted bonnet of red and green printed wool fabric that matches 1970.4.1, the dress worn by Lydia Jane Gray at her marriage to John Haley Rose in 1846.
Padded with wool batting. Rear portion of bonnet has piped seam. Gathered ruffle at the bottom. Channels are sewn with a running stitch. Interior is lined with a glazed cotton. Front of brim is lined with a cream colored silk ribbon with a green and red printed floral pattern.
