The linen sheet and pair of pillowcases were said to have been spun and woven by Nabby Gay of New London, New Hampshire who married William Gay in the early 1790s. The sheet and pillowcases were woven in a simple plain weave and finished by hand. While she used “N G” to mark the sheet and pillowcases, there is no number for the purposes of rotation.
