Description

A naturalistic landscape painting, oil on canvas, by Gibeon E. Bradbury depicting a portion of the Salmon Falls River in Buxton, ME in 1900. In the painting, the river is flowing through an area with steep rock banks in the left and right foreground, shallow falls, and two pine trees at the top of the right river bank. Four birds flying in a line in the sky. Fallen trees in the water on both sides of the river. The leaves on the trees in the midground are turning fall colors. Gold frame with narrow molded liner, also gold-colored. The frame has been repainted.
