Quilt composed of 3.5" squares of material from the York Manufacturing Company (according to the donor). Some of the squares are pieced. There are many plaids, a variety of colors, many woven patterns, stripes, and checks. There is no quilting; the layers are tied at the corners of the individual pieces with a heavy cotton thread or string. Thick cotton batting. The backing is a windowpane check in dark butterscotch on a cream ground. The outer edges of the quilt top and backing are folded in towards each other and machine sewn 1/8" fron the edge.
