A view of Main Street in Saco, taken at the corner of Pepperell Square, circa prior to 1880, when the clock tower was first added to the front of Saco City Hall by Francis H. Fassett. In this photo, the clock of City Hall was set on a cupola that sat in the middle of the roof, away from the street facade. Also visible in this photo is the Littlefield & Richards grocery store on the right and Charles Twambley & Son watches and jewelry store in the distance to the left. This photo was taken around 1873.
