A print photograph of "Joker's Corner" on the corner of Main Street and Pleasant Street in Saco, ME. This is the same corner where Saco & Biddeford Savings in the Masonic Hall Block stands today. The J.W. Beatty & Co. mill supplies and leather belting store and the Edwin D. Thomas grocery store can be seen. The old Thornton House, then known as "The Wallace," can be seen on the right. The owners and patrons of the two stores often gathered and socialized at the corner, giving it its nickname, "Joker's Corner."
