Description

Glass lantern slide of the Electric Tower lit up at night at the Pan American Exposition in Buffalo, New York in 1901. "Electric Tower at Night" is written on the label on the slide. The Electric Tower was the center piece of the fair. The lights were actually multicolored and the Expo was nicknamed "Rainbow City." It was the first public display of electricity at such a large scale.
