Cream-colored small figured brocade silk day bodice. The figured pattern is of a series of tiny triangles arranged into a larger one. The front neckline is a deep V that closes only at the bottom 7 1/2" with modern metal hooks and eyes. The front and back of the bodice have a V-shaped matching fabric ruffle that runs over the shoulders and meets at the waistline. The ruffle is edged at the gathered side with faux pearl trim. The sleeves are very full, gathered at the shoulder, and have been altered to end just below the elbow with no cuff. The interior has a series of seven boning channels laid over the seams, possibly added later, but with no boning present. There are two brass hooks at the waist level sewn into the back of the bodice. At the bottom of each armhole is a twill tape loop, presumably for hanging.
