Description

Cotton christening dress with net and lace trim. Wide square neck. Bodice and short sleeves are of alternating narrow bands of net and cotton fabric sewn with rows of tiny tucks. The waistband is of cotton with a layer of net sewn on top. The skirt is secured to the waistband with whip gathers. The front of the skirt has two long vertical sections of trim applied to each side. They are composed of alternating bands of net and tucked fabric with a lace edging. They are sewn down along the outer edge only and they curve out towards the side of the skirt at the bottom. At the bottom of the skirt are three alternating bands of net and tucked fabric with lace trim at the hem. Open in the back with no closures.
