Glass plate negative photo of the Quillcote house (side view), author Kate Douglas Wiggin's residence in Hollis, Maine. The back side of the negative has a section of a postcard pasted on. "Aug. 10, 1933 Norm[al]" is written in pencil on the postcard section. The photographer Bradbury was likely sizing these photos to create postcards. This image of "Quillcote" has appeared on postcards. Many of these postcards of Quillcote are still widely available today and sold by antique ephemera dealers.Made/Created
