Aerial view of the foundation of the "New Shop" looking west over Elm Street, with the chimney of the Diamond Match factory and Hooper Hill in the background, the Saco River flowing from left to right. The railroad tracks are to the left (Western Division). Abenathy Construction Company, based in Boston, brought a new construction process to this area wherein steel-reinforced concrete was used. J. Vaughan Dennett did this pioneering work.
