Bradbury noted on Nov. 11, 1882, that he was "Drawing Freddie Dow's portrait. Lad knocked it down and injured it in the evening. " Perhaps it took some time to make repairs. A Mrs. Gray finally came by on April 19, 1883, to pay for the portrait, for which Bradbury charged $5.00.
