Folding, pleated fan of double silk satin with hornbeam sticks and guards, bone button, metal rivet, brass loop and no tassel. Decoration of leaf (recto): Cream-colored satin, a large area left of center painted in gouache with blue sky, three birds on branches, a butterfly, the area outlined with pink, coral and green leaves and flowers. The verso of the leaf is undecorated. Guards are painted with a faux "wood" grain, as are the sticks.Dimensions
