Folding pleated Brise fan made of imitation sandalwood, mother-of-pearl button, metal rivet, no loop or tassel. Decoration of leaf (recto): Sticks interlaced with a narrow maroon silk ribbon. Sticks and guards are intricately pierced with Islamic style designs. On the four central sticks, a double concentric oval filled with tiny pierced motifs. On the right and left, square outlines with rounded corners, filled with pierced motifs. Only the small gorge area at the head of sticks is left plain.Material
