Folding pleated wooden brise fan with mother-of-pearl button, metal rivet, no loop or tassel. Guards are shaped, carved, and pierced. Each stick and guard has two ovals, surrounded and separated by floral motifs, all of which are on the upper half. Lower half of each is plain, except for stylized incising on the guards. On the inside of the left guard: "M C L" - possibly owner's initials.Material
