Print photograph (produced from a postcard) of the Hotel Velvet engulfed in flames during the Great Fire of August 15, 1907. "Old Orchard Fire, Aug. 15, '07, Hotel Velvet" is inscribed on the photo. The hotel was completely burned to the ground in a matter of hours. The following is written on the back of the photo, "Hotel Velvet - location - Grand Ave. West & Old Orchard Ave. Owned by Hildreth, maker of famous 'Velvet' Kisses put up in a yellow box. Produced from a postcard. In the photo, the red fire shows white."
