Visual depictions of Albert A. Schaefer, Grand Master of Massachusetts, 1941-43. Albert A. Schaefer was born February 25, 1884, and was a charter member of The Harvard Lodge, serving as its Worshipful Master in 1929, and also belonged to Richard C. MacLaurin Lodge. He served an earlier term as Deputy Grand Master in 1934 before his election as Grand Master in 1941. A Harvard-educated attorney, he taught business law as a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and in his youth had been a boy soprano who sang at the Metropolitan Opera. Schaefer died October 26, 1947.
