Visual depictions of Curtis Chipman, Grand Master of Massachusetts, 1932-34. Curtis Chipman was born November 1, 1876, in Boston and was raised in Eliot Lodge in Jamaica Plain in 1904, later becoming a charter member and Worshipful Master (1923-24) of Loyalty Lodge, also in Jamaica Plain. He served as Grand High Priest of the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Massachusetts (1922-24) and Deputy Grand Master (1925) before his election as Grand Master in 1932. A career banking officer with the First National Bank of Boston, he received the honorary 33rd degree in 1933 and was made an honorary member of the Grand Lodges of Ireland and Scotland. Chipman died October 9, 1935, in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
