Henry Endicott, born November 14, 1824, in Canton, was a manufacturer of engines and boilers. A member of Amicable Lodge and Mizpah Lodge, where he served successively as Worshipful Master, he served as District Deputy Grand Master and Senior Grand Warden and sat on the Grand Lodge's Board of Directors for over three decades before his election as Grand Master, receiving the 33rd degree in 1874. As Grand Master he constituted four lodges and laid cornerstones for Cambridge City Hall, the Springfield Post Office, and the State House extension, and dedicated both the Henry Price Monument and the Pilgrim Monument. He died November 8, 1913, in Cambridge.Relationships
