Pageau was born August 31, 1944, in Littleton, New Hampshire, and was raised in John Warren Lodge in Hopkinton on March 9, 1976, later affiliating with Rose of Sharon Lodge in Charlton and holding honorary membership in The Masters Lodge in Needham and Dalhousie Lodge in Newton. He served as District Deputy Grand Master of the Natick 23rd District (1994-95), Deputy Grand Master (1996), and Grand Treasurer and CFO (2003-07) before his installation as the 86th Grand Master in 2008. A graduate of the University of New Hampshire (B.S. in Business Management, 1968), he managed banking and cash management for the New England Power Service Company and then served as Treasury Manager for National Grid, retiring in 2003 after thirty-five years. He was active in the Scottish Rite Valley of Worcester, the York Rite, and the Aleppo Shriners, receiving the Scottish Rite 33rd degree in 2002. Pageau died July 28, 2012, at the age of 67.
