General Notes

Note

Parament featuring dove and tongues of fire. Scripture gives specific symbols for the outpouring of t Holy Spirit and the birth of the Christian church in Acts 2:2-4. The dove is symbolic of the Holy Spirit and the tongues "parting asunder, like as of fire" by which the "mighty works of God" were declared and are unto this day" are combined against the field of red. Red is the traditional color of Pentecost and is symbolic of fervor, zeal, victory and triumph
