General Notes

Note

Expanded Wall Label: Taken as a unit, the three trees tell the story of salvation. The colors form the unity of a color wheel, beginning with the green (the color of life), moving into red (the color of suffering), and then the blues (the color of the heavens). The first tree represents the tree of life in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 2:9), symbolizing God the Father, the Creator who gives life. With the Fall, a second tree (I Peter 2:24) became necessary – the tree of the cross. The vivid red reminds us of Christ’s shed blood restoring human’s relationship to God. The third tree, in blues, is the tree of life by the river of crystal, a symbol of God the Holy Spirit, the sustainer (Revelation 22:1-5).
