General Notes

Note

The parament combines the chalice of wine and the wheat of the bread which represent the blood and body of Christ. This also represents the union of the body of believers as expressed in the form of the Lord's Supper. The unity of Christ and His believers is further depicted in the Chi Rho (XP) which form the chalice and stems of wheat. The Chi Rho is the chief monogram for Christ composed of the first two Greek letters of the word "Christ" (XPICTOC)
