General Notes

Note

Parament featuring sun and star above manger. The Christmas parament combines the sun and star as the heavenly symbols celebrating the birth of Christ, the Son of God. He is shown as the "sun of righteousness" in the golden orb. The three rays of the orb remind us first that Christ is a member of the Holy Trinity and second that a star led the wisemen into His presence. These divine manifestations are combined with the lowly manger representing the human nature of Christ. Thus, the two natures of Christ are brought together in the Christmas paraments.
