General Notes

Note

Expanded Wall Label: The sculpture combines the symbols of the liturgical year. The sun is the symbol of Christ, the Son of God, "the sun of righteousness." The rays of the sun are in sets of three to remind us of the Trinity and the total rays remind us of the twelve disciples. The rays also form the cross. At the top the rays radiate out as wheat which is the symbol of true believers. The kernels of wheat form crowns, the Biblical symbols of righteousness.
