General Notes

Note

White Star of David on blue background. Within the star are four triangles with verses from Romans surrounding two circles of various peoples encircling the passage of Genesis 48:4. In the Garden of Eden, Adam as representative man first asserted himself in deliberate independence of God. It caused a fundamental change in his relationship to God the consequence of which is known as the Fall of Man. Messiah Jesus is called the Last Adam because it is through him that man's relationship with God is restored. God made a covenant with Israel to be the nation through which this resotration would come. It was a covenant of faith and of the heart. The legal aspects of the Mosaic law pointed out the errors of the heart attitude to God and fellow man. The law shows us that our selfishness renders us incapable of keeping its precepts, of making ourselves pure before the Holy God. Each of us is guilt of breaking the law and thus each one stands in rebellion before God. Messiah Jesus instituted God's new Covenant (Jeremiah 31:31-34). His redemption makes all who accept Him as Lord and Savior heirs to God's promise. For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be His people, his treasured possession. Deuteronomy 7:6 The first Adam became a life-giving being, the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. I Corinthians 15:45
