General Notes

Note

MARRIAGE PARAMENTS The pulpit parament is based upon the equation 2 + 3 = 1: the bride and groom (2) plus the Holy Spirit (3) equals one in the cross of Jesus Christ. The circle of completeness is done in gold as a symbol of the divine order of marriage. The right hands of the bride and groom are on the left and right as they pledge their love to one another. The top hand is of God the Father blessing this union. The center hand is of God the Son in- structing them in this marriage, and the bottom hand is of the Holy Spirit sustaining and nurturing the marriage. The white cross completes the union of these two lives in Christ. The table parament combines the single candle in which one light shines for two lives and entwined wedding bands as symbols of the pledge of husband and wife before God to be faithful to one another.
