General Notes

Note

•original work created by G. Carol Bomer as part of a series of 10 on blueprint paper after returning from a CIVA trip to Italy in 1997 •distressed the surface, tearing and partially removing layers of paper in an attempt to evoke memories of the layered patina she loved on Italy’s timeworn buildings •This piece is about God’s grace, as He, the master architect and builder, not only prepares homes “eternal in the heavens,” but He also designs and builds each of our lives. “Things Unseen” deals with “where one’s heart is.” •scripture reference in work II Cor. 4:18 “whatever is seen is temporary and whatever is unseen is eternal.”
