Description

This video depicts a cornfield, the entrance to Glacier National park, and a aerial city view of New York City.

Context

Mrs. Clarke was well known to travel to iconic landmarks and relatively unknown places. Mrs. Clarke's extensive collection is a rare glimpse into early 20th century global travel and how society valued natural environments as a leisure space. It was during this time that natural leisure begins to seep into American culture, and natural park infrastucture is being supported by the government. The film also shows a glimpse of early 20th century Manhattan, NY.
