Photo mounted on brown, embossed presentation board from the Tubbs studio in Grand Haven. The image shows two men standing beneath a flag-adorned "William Alden" banner. The center of the banner sports a garland-framed portrait of dark-haired man, William Alden Smith, a U.S. Representative and U.S. Senator from the state of Michigan from 1985-1919. Below the banner, Mr. Smith can be seen above the crowd, at right. Lower still, a uniformed marching band, onlookers and a cannon are arrayed for the camera. Location unknown beyond a clearing with young trees and a house visible at far right.
