For the past fifty years its semi-annual wholesale furniture market has been a national institution. Every summer and winter leading furniture makers of America, to the number of four hundred, show their new furniture productions at Grand Rapids, to the principal furniture re-tailers of America. The occasion of the 100th furniture market was the occasion for a celebration in which the city of Grand Rapids joined with its furniture market. The outstanding feature of this celebration was an exposition of furniture-making past and present, in a series of exhibits of old and new furniture and of the resources of design and craftmanship upon which the furniture makers of Grand Rapids Market draw upon....This collection of fifty photographs shows stereoscopic views of the most important exhibits, for the pleasure and instruction of those who were unable to see it.
