Postcard of the Big Pavilion Caption on reverse side: A classic landmark on the waterfront from 1909 to may 13, 1960. when it was destroyed by fire. The huge frame building housed a Ballroom, Roller Rink and the Dock, a famous bar. For over half a century it provided dockage for steamships and pleasure craft as well as a recreational center for residents and visitors.
