b. BALDY - Protest letter complaining about Senator Blank (Wayland)'s "hog wash". "Someone should tell Sen. Blank that he was elected to represent his constituents who are Hoffman-Hutchinson Republicans" Further complaint that Jim Boyce [Allegan Co. Treasurer in 1960s], Judge Weston [Harold F. Weston] and Sheriff Walter Runkel are never around. Final complaint Claims that mentions are "planted" is "piffle. Every comment, every observations, every bit of praise, every needle has been the opinion and/or belief of the writer."
c. INSIDE THERMOMS - anticipating winter
d. BALDY - OCT. 20 - "puerile malarkey bumbling bureaucrats" rant about changing of placement of highway interchanges. Joe Doakes singled out.
d. AUTUMN'S END - waxing romantic about fall color, space filler.
Handwriting suggests the author is journalist William R. Simmons who was the Commercial Record editor 1952-1955 and 1958-1965.Location
