Commercial Record newspaper clippings about Saugatuck's Civil War cannon that is located at the Saugatuck Village Square Veteran's Memorial.

Context

The little black cannon with red wheels was a gift from Stephen Morrison around 1880. During a World War I scrap drive, the cannon was put on the curb for pick up, but the Superintendent of Public Works, Harry Newnham, returned it to the Village Hall.
