Description

Sign from Kit Lane's Saugatuck Historical Museum that was housed in the Wright's Pavilion building at 403 Lake Street, Saugatuck. The sign is made of .25" plywood. The sign's background is painted red. The "old-timey" type is painted in yellow with a black shadow. In the corners are curving, ornamental flourishes. A diminutive artists signature in the lower right corner flourish may read "Lutz."

Context

Newspaper publisher and editor Kit Lane's interest in local history evolved into a museum in the building that held the Commercial Record office.
