Three kinds of items imprinted with messages from local businesses. 1. Morgan Ice Company ice pick. Rectangular wooden handle printed with four messages MORGAN ICE CO. Douglas, Mich./Save with Ice/We Sell Air Conditioned REFRIGERATORS/A Block of Ice Never Gets Out Of Order. The metal pick and ferule. The pick is threaded like a rasp. The entire pick is 11" long. The handle is 3.75" long by .75" wide and tapered at both ends. Use: Morgan Ice Company sold ice is large blocks that may require breaking into smaller chunks to fit various cooling purposes. 2. Pair of "Compliments" of Francis Food Store change purses. One purse is black, the other is peanut-butter colored. The soft, rubbery plastic was squeezed to open a slot in the back so the coins could be poured out. These purses may once have included a chain or loop to attach to a key ring. 2.75 x 1.75 x .375" Use: Back when coins were often used to make purchases, both men and women used various styles of chain purses to collect and muffle coins and prevent them from staining pocket or purse interiors. Also called coin purses. 3. Folding silver-tone metal nail clipper with leather sheath imprinted with DON MANCHESTER/Ph. (616) 857-8651/Rep. Bankers Advertising Co.
