Scope and Content

Saugatuck Village election booklets, ballots and tally sheets. Most items from 1925-1930 but one poll list is from 1889 and a undated tally list. a. Blank applications for Absent Voter's Ballot, 6 Nov. 1928 plus one ballot with a list of names. b. Tally Sheet booklet, 1929, pale green cover, 14x8.5" c. Three Poll Book booklets from 1925, 1926 and a 1930 special election, pale blue cover, 14x8.5” d. Statement of Votes booklet, 1930 special election, beige cover, 14x8.5" granting Consumers Power Company a 30-year contract, 14x8.5" e. Official Bonds and Oaths of Office booklets for 1927 and 1928, pale blue covers,14x8.5" f. Shults' Election Outfits envelope, manila paper, 11x14.5 g. Instructional ballot for 1930 special election granting Consumers Power Co. a 30-year contract, 7x6", two copies. h. Undated tally sheet for Village president, trustees and marshal, 6x8", very worn and yellowed. i. Handwritten poll list for 5 March 1889 election that lists 135 registered voters. Originally the list was on two sheets of 12x8" paper. One sheet of paper is torn into two pieces so now the item is in three pieces.
