Description

Undated 15-page booklet that tells stories of scheme to fool bank inspectors by delaying them at New Richmond while an unnamed Native American man paddled the gold from Allegan to Singapore, Astor House, the "oriental" origins of the name "Singapore", the worthlessness of Singapore bank notes, river-men stealing British flag from Native Americans gathering at Mount Baldhead, peach farming on burned over land, the winter of 1879, and many of the often repeated town tales.
