The West Michigan painter, sculptor and “Mod” printmaker Harry Brorby’s accolades include work in the permanent collections of the MoMA and Walker Art Center. His Yellow Series “#7” won the prize in the 1969 Pauline Palmer annual competition at the Art Institute of Chicago and appeared on the front page of the March 13, 1969 Chicago Tribune.
In his Three-fold Statement of Influence and Intent (1954)Brorby cited the Ox-Bow Summer School of Painting as one of his strongest influences.
