A newspaper article dated July 10, 1969 about the Meteorite that dropped in Allegan in 1899. It weighed 62 lbs and landed on "Thomas Hill" on the fringe of what was then called Saugatuck Road. It was 20" long and 12" wide. Visitors soon started chipping into it for souvenirs. It eventually ended up at the Smithsonion Insitution in Washington. in 1969 John Pahl still had an authentic part of the meteorite.Acquisition
